Those who claim the muslim faith, listen to reason. it was not a Danish cartoonist who created the image of the prophet Muhammad as a terrorist. he was only drawing what he saw. The real blame rests with those who practice terrorism in the name of Allah. Whenever a muslim commits such crimes in the name of islam, he is telling the world that the prophet is a murderer, therefor, the jihadist is the true blasphemer. all the death threats, embassy burnings, hostage taking, flag burnings, and stone throwing in the Muslim world is never going to make westerners think better of you. every time you do these things, you only worsen the image of Islam in the worlds eyes, and bring shame upon the prophet's name. think about it.

The late Emir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was born in Kuwait City in the year 1928. He was the son of Sheikh Ahmed Al- Jaber Al-Sabah, the 11 th ruler of Kuwait. He received his education at the Mubarakiya, A-_Ahmediyah and Al-Sharqiyah schools in Kuwait. He was also educated by specialized tutors and traveled abroad to expand his knowledge in various fields.

Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah succeeded his predecessor Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as the ruler of Kuwait on December 31, 1977, becoming the thirteenth Emir of the State of Kuwait and the third since its independence. It is a key principle of democratic rule that the ruler be approved by both the ruling family and the citizens. Therefore, in accordance with constitutional procedures, his Highness was sworn in before Shiekh Jaber Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the then Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Information.

His 28 years as the leader of Kuwait abounded with accomplishments- especially in the economic development of the country- not only for the present but also for the future generations of Kuwait. He is known worldwide for engineering the economic development of Kuwait. In Kuwait, where he is regarded as Baba Jaber, he is remembered by the average Kuwaiti as a father figure who paid particular attention to the welfare of children, youth, the elderly, those with special needs and for his unofficial visits to diwaniyahs, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, where he mingled with his fellow countrymen.

In addition, during his rule, Kuwait witnessed various challenges and trials that showed the late Emir’s great skill and resolve and proved the people of Kuwait’s loyalty. Perhaps the greatest tragedy Kuwait faced was during his rule when the country was invaded by the Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein in 1990. He steered the country through these difficult times with wisdom and political expertise which earned him and Kuwait the world’s appreciation and regard.

In his passing, on January 15 th 2006, Kuwait and Kuwaitis have lost a pioneering leader and a father who devoted his life to serve the rightful interests of his people through proper policies. The Arab, Islamic and international world too mourn the demise of this simple but great man who made every effort and undertook every possible task to include the development of others in his plans for a better world.
