This is the oil I have got to know from one of my friend.Earlier i had suffered a lot of hair fall.It is because I had changed my residance to Kolkata where the water in my locality seemed to be hard enough.I suppose it has acted as a catalyst to my hair fall.I searched for this oil in local market and bought one for myself. It comes in a small bottle of 50 ml.And it is dark in color. The manufacturer claims that the oil base is coconut oil and to be used on wet hair because the it works best in moist scalp. The oil must be used as little as 8-10 drops over the whole scalp with gentle messaging in circular motion(anticlockwise) and I generally keep it for a day or two(though you can wash off after keeping for an hour). After that I shampoo my hair. But the most important thing is that your scalp has to be clean and dandruff free otherwise it wont’ have any effect.I generally use the oil after I shampoo, keep it for a whole day and then shampoo my hair again. You should use it twice a week for first few months and after the hair fall has been controlled you can use once a week.It is quiet expansive and that is its disadvantage but since it it requires little oil,so a bottle lasts for enough days to compensate its price. After using it for four months my hair loss came under control to much extend. Also I found new sprouts of hair have grown. It also improves the texture of hair.My hair grows much faster than before and I give full credit to this MAGICAL oil.
Waste of money. This product is rubbish my hair problem became worse after using this. the whole house smells bad after using this and the hair looks very thin and limp after shampoo. i do not know what is the purpose of such products. but i now know that it does not help to stop any type of hair problem. my mother also used this and same bad result. she lost so much hair after using this. bad bad bad!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was desperate so was trying different products for 2 years. of course one product at a time, so that i can understand clearly the results. but i can say i have tried everything. i have become a member on this site specially to write review on all rubbish hair products that i wasted my time and money on. try regen hair vitaliser my friend who is a doctor, suggested and it worked on me very well.

Well, this is my first review and God did I ever dreamt of writing it on a cosmetic but do go on reading and please take the pains of commenting and rating my review.........
I’ve used it very recently after having horrifying nights with dreams of going bald even before I get married :-(( (it is supposed to be very rare among women but I might be a rarity as well na). It was recommended to me by a friend whose sister had used it & had pleasing effects of hair growth. So, deja vu I had the key to a magic potion with miraculous effects to stop hair fall at last (I was so excited!!!!).
But then I used it for 4-5 months and
my hair doesn’t seem to like my head a lot so, it hasnt stopped falling away yet. I must confess though, that I don’t have much patience to take good care of my hair except applying oil for the night after which I take head bath. Maybe the effectiveness depends on a lot of other things like environmental conditions n your good luck which I seem to be running out of(atleast in the case of my hair). So, I’ve a go at it and try your luck buddy!!!!!!!!!
It would definitely help hair growth and actually improves the texture of your hair (mine has grown till my waist and is much more silkier than before making it look more thin I guess). So, if you’ve no more tricks left in ur kitty try it and don’t forget to pray that it works for you (so that you maybe considered among the lucky few) !!
i would highly recommend this product for anyone who is
suffering from hair loss. I have used it from time to time
and it has worked for me. It is good for hair growth,
but im am not certain if it actually helps arrest hair loss.
I agree with arya, it is a little on the expensive side, but
nevertheless its money well spent.
Im experiencing difficulty getting the oil in local indian stores
here, either they dont carry it or if they do, its really really old,
like 8-10 yrs old!
None of these packages have an expiry date printed on them.
I was wondering if anyone knows whether this oil ever
expires; the shopkeepers say it doesnt, but im doubtful.
thank you.

As per my experiences I found GODREJ ANOOP HAIR OIL very good. It is not that much sticky plus it smells good. And the best part of godrej anoop hair oil is that it actually helps in the hair growth.
My brother in law used it and he really was very happy with the results.
Then I tried it on my husband who was slowly loosing his hair as he used to go on bike. If you ride a bike your hair starts getting thin and dry because it comes into direct contact with the sunrays and very hard blowing wind, which ultimately spoils your hair. After applying it say for about 6-8 months new hair started growing. And we both were amazed by its results.
The only negative point for this hair oil is its price. You can’t use it daily. And women will have to think thrice before applying because they have good amount of hair. But if you use once in say 15 days I think that will also help you. I suggest you all how to apply this hair oil.
First you take required quantity in a small wide faced bowl. Take a wide tooth hair comb. First part your hair and apply anoop hair oil on the scalp. Gently massaging in a circular motion. This way you cover your complete head. After finishing applying massage your head with a little more pressure given by only the tips of your fingers starting from the backside coming to the front. Now massage your hairline from the center to both sides and behind the ears. This way the blood circulation increases and it helps your scalp get the oil needed for healthy hair. If you are woman never leave the ends of your hair open it leads to split hairs. So always tie it in a bun or cover the ends with a band. Massage for at least 40-45 minutes after that take a steam. I will tell you how to take a steam. Boil water in a large vessel. Take a turkish towel. While holding the ends of the towel dip the center in the hot water. But before that see that the water is bearable enough. Then cover your head with the towel sometimes front and sometimes back. Do this for at least 15-20 times. This surely helps I have experienced. It helps in preventing dry and split hair. After that wash your hair with warm remember warm not hot water, as hot water damages hair with a good mild shampoo. And after shampoo use a good conditioner. Godrej anoop hair definitely helps though a bit expensive you can use it the way I have suggested at least once in a fortnight then slowly even you will feel the difference.
With godrej anoop hair oil you sure have a good hair day. Take my word.
Because all other hair oil like dabur vatika, coconut, Himtaj etc., which i have used myself Godrej Anoop Hair Oil stands tall in all its claims while others do not come even 5% closer to what they claim.
This is my opinion if you have any comments or suggestions on this its most wel come. I will be very happy
Take care and have a good hair day
luv arya

Sometime ago I had this problem of falling hair . It continued for months inspite of changing my shampoos. I even consulted my Doctor and took some vitamins and tonics, but the problem persisted. Eventually a friend mentioned this oil Anoop by Godrej. This is an ayurvedic, purely herbal oil. Although it is called an oil, it is not oily. This oil should not be mixed with any other. Also the manner of application is to massage it gently, with a few drops at a time , all over the scalp. But first, you have to moisten your scalp and hair. This is very important. You can wash it off with a shampoo after 1 or 2 hours. There might be fake copy of this oil sold in the market. You have to ascertain the authenticity of the oil by checking the base of the bottle for the embossed logo ’’Anoop’’ At the end of 4 months use, I noticed that I also had a better growth of hair. Scanty hair looked fuller. Although I now use other oils like Vatika herbal on a regular basis, I still Keep ANOOP handy like a maintenance dose once or twice a month. This way,I feel my is hair is safe.
