Welcome back to the library, which contains different books and dictionaries to enrich and improve teacher's knowledge in different matters such as : Phonetics, Linguistics, Grammar, Vocabulary, …etc
I hope that both teachers and students will find it useful and helpful all over the Arabian countries

It was raining hard that night..
I was running along the dark wet street..
Searching for a warm dry place to hide & to protect my self from drowning deeply under
the heavy tears of the sad sky of that gloomy night..
Finally..I reached the suitable wanted place ..
It was the old cozy library which is located at the back dark alley of the western street .
I stood in front of its great old unique designed door ...
Took a deep breath & pulled all of my courage to open it at that really late time of this windy scary night...
When I opened the door..
I stepped & entered inside the old building to find myself standing in the middle
of its big warm & quiet heart...
Mr.Librarian was waiting for me as usual with his narrow calm smile...

Mr Librarian:Hello,Green Salad Good midnight!!
Green Salad:Good midnight to you sir..
Mr Librarian:What brought you here tonight!!
Green Salad:A novel which I borrowed from ur library last night!!
Mr Librarian:Hmmmmmm,,
Green Salad: David Copperfield!!
Mr Librarian:Ahaaaa,,that is one of Dickens' best known novels..!!
Green Salad:Is it true sir that ....this novel was written both from his imagination & true life??
Mr Librarian:Yessssss..!! It was very like his own early life!!
It was Dicken' own favourite story!!
Green Salad: It is my owned favourite story!!

Charles Dickens (1812-1870), English Victorian era author wrote numerous highly acclaimed novels including his most autobiographical David Copperfield (1848-1850);

As a prolific 19th Century author of short stories, plays, novellas, novels, fiction and non, during his lifetime Dickens became known the world over for his remarkable characters, his mastery of prose in the telling of their lives, and his depictions of the social classes, mores and values of his times. Some considered him the spokesman for the poor, for he definitely brought much awareness to their plight & the downtrodden..

Story
Young David Copperfield's life starts to go wrong when his mother marries the cruel Mr Mudstone.David is sent to school,where the headmaster.Mr Creakle,hits him whenever he can.Poor David is only happy when he is visiting the strange boat-house home of his nurse,Peggoty,and her family.

When he runs away from school to find his Aunt Betsy Trotwood,however things begin to get better.


Find out What happens to David as he grows up,and how the friends-and enemies-of his unhappy childhood affect his fortunes in later life

Here is beginning of the 1st chapter of this great novel:

I Am Born
“Whether I shall turn out to be the hero of my own life, or whether that station will be held by anybody else, these pages must show. To begin my life with the beginning of my life, I record that I was born (as I have been informed and believe) on a Friday, at twelve o'clock at night. It was remarked that the clock began to strike, and I began to cry, simultaneously.”

My personal view
I remember enjoying studying & analyzing this novel at the first early years of the university,
I think that David is a typical good & modest hero that you can see in every pretty novel that has
a lesson that ought to be learned & a moral that should be acknowledged by every one when they finish reading the ending sentence of the last chapter of that novel...
.. I noticed & loved at once how Dickens presents & draws as a funny cartoonist. the characters of his novels

I hated the weakness of his mother,,,
I hated his cruel step-father & heartless head -teacher
.... ..I enjoyed reading the funny description of Mr Micawaber
character;

.I went in, and found there a stoutish, middle-aged person, in a brown surtout and black tights and shoes, with no more hair upon his head (which was a large one, and very shining) than there is upon an egg, and with a very extensive face, which he turned full upon me
