War & Peace

-Sure every body know the strong relationship between Ramadan & the war!!!

- In the war , people should be really prepared &well- occupied so,they can be able to face & take over with their all might the attacking enemies .

-In Ramadan ,also those people should be ready to fight another great fight..But this time they are gonna face their worst enemy their inner desires & hungry lusts..

-In the war the people in the army forced to use many different kinds of killing & dangerous weapons.

-But in Ramadan.. the calm & peaceful nature & atmosphere of this holy month will turn such a deadly weapon as the cannon
into
a useful & harmless weapon . i.e.. for
announcing the time of the iftar :Dor the imsak.


-I remembered when we were little kids running fast upstairs to the roof of our old house to watch the cannon's pretty colorful firework,,which if I recalled correctly had the Green color most of the time:2_22::15:..

-Finally, we sure & should always remember that the first battle in the islamic history
happened on the seventeenth of Ramadan..
It was an epic fight between the believers of truth -Islam- & the forces of evil..
It was Ghazwah Bader..

Our First day of Ramadan
A visit to the hospital

Every year, befor the coming of Ramadan, my family and I used to prepare for many visits to those patients in the hospital

This Ramadan, we did the first visit last night ... we prepared some cakes, and dishes besids to some toys to the patients there , in the day of laylat Elshak

My younger sister who works at the hospital suggestd this cuz the first day will be soooooooo long according to the children and the moms in the hospitals

So, we share the first happiness of Elfitr with them,the
Doctors were there with us and attended the simple party

we talkt to them about their problems, ..... Ok it was great feeling when we saw the happiness on their faces , esp, the children

They really love the joys
Thanx to ALLAH about our good health that HE gave us

as to our traditions in Ramadan

I will try to remember briefly:


usually it revolves around meeting relatives -

sending food to neighbours and relatives

and to the mosque if possible becasue

a lot of mosques host a big feast for the

Iftar for everybody, especially workers and

those who can not afford or can't have a good

Iftar.. a lot of restaurants offer special prices for

Iftar meals too..

of course everybody prays and reads the qura'n

as much as possible

and also pray taraweeh and qiyam at the end of the month

charity works in general..

for me I usually pay my gold's zakat in Ramadan..

that is what I have in mind now ..sorry if i forgot anything

because i am in a hurry..

I am sure other saudi girls will complete..

and I will try to remember to take a photo of

a dish I make and post it here inshallah..

The third day of Ramadan


The hot soup

-One of the thing that we can not start our iftar meal without it in our house is
the hot soup !! =^_______^=

-There are different kind of soups that we might prepare & have... for examples:
1-The chicken soup.
2-The mushroom soup.
3- The Adass soup.
4-The mixed vegetables soup.

-One of my funny memory from last Ramadan is that ONE DAY I decided to make a different kind of soup ..I chose to make a tomato soup for my precious family.
-Actually I was gonna only add another vegetable soup to our family' s traditional soup menu- !! [SIZE=3]:P[/SIZE]

-I tried my best to follow each step in the recipe from the cooking book.

-The picture of the soup was beautiful & tasty and the recipe was soo easy to follow!!........

But,.......
- Everybody from my dear friends knows very well.. that my relationship with the kitchen is not that strong & I have a really bad history in cooking.

-The result was not as I was expecting to have .. I really failed but I had only just succeeded to add another failure dish in my miserable cooking record .*____*[COLOR=Blue]’[/COLOR]

-The soup which was supposed to be prepared for large people was done only for 1 person to enjoy.0_____0

-I do not know what happened but most of it evaporated & vanished suddenly in the air.@_____@

- I put it on the iftar table ..& When my dear mother opened the cover of the big bowl......????

-All of my family were very shocked at first then,started to laugh madly when they found that my soup was hidden in the bottom of the large bowl..!!

-They asked me all to explain my strange dish.

-I told them that this is a new kind of recipe of soup .. called: the [COLOR=Red]tomato bottom soup!![/COLOR]

yestday, my little sister creat new dish MACARONA.

all the of u in EL Khalidj u've the KAPSA dish , I tast it only in tv and MAGLOUBAT REZ I wanna taste them as well the CHIKEN BERIANEY of QATAR also
we tried to prepare those dishes but we fail cuz we just try.. I personaly , ignor the true recipy for all, cuz each time the dish has new taste
any way , I'll put some dishes next time cuz I in hurry it's the ATHAAAAAAAAAAHn of El meghreb

In Qatar we have another name for Kabsa .. we call it ((Majbous)):D!!

I love majbous it is soo tasty,,and I already tried to cook it before & it was mmm,,, O.K:ss:.. But not to be compared to my mother's tasty one!! MashaAllah!!:)

we some times reorder the the presentation of the Kapsa to get the magloba
